Starting a new project is about taking one bite at a time and enjoying savoring each tangible step, no matter how small.

From the idea to its realization, follow here the evolution of Foodradar.ca, from today until its launch!

Step 1 : Analysis and validation

%

This step is by far the longest and most crucial since it is the basis of all future efforts. It is here that we first draw up an inventory of the problems and needs of our users through our personas and that we validate our assumptions through interviews and surveys. This analysis allows us to determine the functionalities of the platform, identify opportunities and draw up an inventory of priorities.

It is also at this stage that certain technological choices are made and the functional specification document is drafted.

Many players in the HRI community are consulted and entrepreneurial training programs are followed in order to feed our curiosity and guide us through the different stages of the project.

In parallel, our identity as well as this website are created.

Step 2 : Prototyping

%

At this stage, we have a good idea of the features of the platform that we want to implement. We are therefore working on a preliminary version (beta) which will eventually be tested with a group of actors from the HRI community.

The graphic charter and the component elements are created and the prototype is coded.

At this point, we are actively looking for collaborators who want to join us in this project in order to provide us with data that will populate our database. These collaborators will be required to help us on a very ad hoc basis (survey-inquiry-test) and will also be called upon during the test phase of the beta version.

Step 3 : Beta version and quality assurance

%

This phase makes it possible to test the functionalities of the platform with targeted users in order to collect comments that will validate the relevance of the functionalities and improve the user experience of the tool.

Following the information gathered, an iteration schedule is put in place in order to make all the corrections and improvements required for the delivery of a product that allows us to achieve our growth objectives.

Step 4 : Launch

%

This is the big day. The project we worked on for several months is officially launched.

Suppliers from Quebec and outside Quebec can now promote their products on the platform and users can finally search and compare the products that interest them in one place, thus easily allowing them to make informed choices.

Active campaigns make it possible to promote the application in order to reach the greatest number of users and work in the field is done in order to go directly to meet the actors in the field.

Obviously, the adventure does not end here. She is just getting started! Foodradar.ca has the ambition to position itself as a notable reference for all players in the HRI market in Quebec and even outside Quebec. We’ve got plenty of ideas!
